Energy security and disputes in Central Eastern Europe. What’s next?

The war in Ukraine will have far-reaching consequences for energy security in Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. It will disrupt the status quo and therefore, unavoidably, lead to disputes.

During a one-hour panel discussion followed by an open Q&A session, we will attempt to explore some of the anticipated consequences of the war, including:

  • shift from Russian fossil fuels to alternative sources of energy and resulting disputes
  • growth potential for the renewable energy sector and the risk of further commercial and investment treaty disputes
  • sanctions and their consequences
  • possible accession of Ukraine to the European Union and its consequences
  • nationalizations and state immunity laws

We will be joined by external speakers from CEE, representing business, government and the legal profession, who will provide their comments on these topics from different angles. We are looking forward to an insightful exchange.

More information about the speakers and the panel coming soon!
