On behalf of Professor Dr. Gerhard Wagner, Academic Director of the International Dispute Resolution (IDR) LL.M., and eight generations of IDR LL.M. Alumni, we are thrilled to invite you to the third annual Humboldt Dispute Resolution Conference.
With Berlin being home to the world-famous Berlinale film festival, this year’s conference leans Fast and Furious. It explores the clash – and crash – of old and new challenges of the ever evolving international dispute resolution market. Under the theme “Fast and Furious? The Ever-Evolving International Dispute Resolution Landscape”, we will explore the latest topics and trends transforming the field. Bringing together up-and-coming practitioners from the IDR LL.M. programme who have gone on to succeed globally, the conference promises bold ideas, engaging debates, and perspectives that reflect the sprit of freedom which is synonymous with Berlin.
In a first for the HDRC, this year also features the mentors who have been supporting the students and alumni, who will share their insights on working in a foreign jusidcition and how to forge an international career in dispute resolution.
The Humboldt Dispute Resolution Conference is organized by the Humboldt International Dispute Resolution Association e.V., with particular thanks to the members of the organizing committee, Alicja Zielińska-Eisen, Aina Hannisa, Jake Lowther, María del Mar López-Latorre, Beril Kaptan, Kseniia Stepanova, and Kanwar Vivswan, for their hard work in putting together the event.
A staple of the Berlin Dispute Resolution Days, the Humboldt Dispute Resolution Conference is open to dispute resolution practitioners, in-house counsel, academics, and students alike.
We also invite you to join us for a lively post-conference celebration with the new graduates of the Class of 2024 on Wednesday, 11 September at Mokka Mitte Bar (Stadtbahnbogen 159/160, 10178 Berlin) from 21:00. No need to register – just come along, dress however you feel comfortable, and bring your best dance moves!
